Since opening the doors to its state-of-the-art Cellar Door and award-winning restaurant, Line & Label, Peter Teakle Wines has become synonymous with Port Lincoln and the Eyre Peninsula.

Overlooking Boston Bay and Port Lincoln, Peter Teakle Wines boasts unparalleled views and promises a memorable experience from the moment you step foot on the picturesque site. Part of the appeal of Peter Teakle Wines is that the team is immensely passionate and committed to transforming the Eyre Peninsula and Port Lincoln into a food and wine destination. The region’s producers and community is at the forefront of everything the team does, ensuring a uniquely Port Lincoln experience for all.

Peter Teakle, whose family has been involved in the wine industry for generations, established Peter Teakle Wines on the philosophy that to create the best product you need the best produce and people. Peter firmly believed that the Eyre Peninsula, and its unique maritime climate, would result in unique wines that would be unrivalled.

His vision also included a fine dining restaurant on site to showcase Port Lincoln’s delectable local seafood and fresh produce. To bring his vision to fruition, Peter enlisted his son Ben Teakle, chief winemaker Liz Heidenreich and executive chef Mark Jensen, to lead a talented and dedicated team to elevate and position Port Lincoln and the Eyre Peninsula as a premier food and wine destination.

Utilising a multi-million dollar, 100-tonne wine crush facility, the first on the Eyre Peninsula, Peter Teakle Wines can ensure that harvested fruit is kept in pristine condition before being made into wine, resulting in award-winning flavours that connoisseurs, tourists and locals rave about.

Following its completion in December 2020, Peter Teakle Wines’ iconic Cellar Door was rapidly embraced as a Port Lincoln landmark thanks to its spectacular curved aesthetic, reminiscent of a trio of wine barrels. The unique building has gained significant attention on social media and was recognised in 2021 with the Best Building Excellence Award in the two to five million dollar category at the Master Builders SA Awards.

In addition to their state-of-the-art winemaking facilities and cellar door, Peter Teakle Wines is home to award-winning restaurant, Line & Label. Under the masterful eye of executive chef Mark Jensen, Line & Label has cemented Port Lincoln as a must-visit foodie destination. 

Jensen’s menu, which perfectly combines outstanding local produce with fresh Asian flavours, has earned the eatery both the Australian Good Food Guides’ Chef Hat and Readers’ Choice Award - the only restaurant in the Eyre Peninsula to achieve such high honours.
