Supporting local footy
Peter Teakle Wines has always been driven to promote the Eyre Peninsula’s remarkability and uniqueness.
From showcasing our cooler climate in their signature wines, to highlighting local produce at their restaurant, to building the region’s first wine crushing facility, Peter Teakle Wines has established a reputation for celebrating homegrown produce, but they are also celebrating home-grown talent, in a new partnership with the Norwood Football Club.
The Teakle Cup is part of a three year partnership between Peter Teakle Wines and Norwood Football Club that will showcase local football and local talent in the Eyre Peninsula, culminating in an ANZAC Day weekend game on April 24 at Centenary Oval. The highly-anticipated SANFL match will see Norwood Football Club face off against West Adelaide and will give Eyre Peninsula locals a rare opportunity to see these two SANFL League Teams teams play on local turf.
The Teakle Cup also gives many home-grown Eyre Peninsula players a chance to play in their home region once again.
“We are thrilled to have partnered with Norwood Football Club on the Teakle Cup,” says Ben Teakle, Managing Director of Peter Teakle Wines and The Line & Label Restaurant.
“Football is such an integral part of life on the Eyre Peninsula. We hope the Teakle Cup will inspire local talent and that the celebratory match will unite the Port Lincoln community, and attract the wider South Australian community to this beautiful part of our state.”
